‘Footprints’ provides children of different ages and races with a place of safety that they can call HOME. The purpose is to allow them to experience the love, care and security of family life, whilst at the same time being educated and taught variouslife skills.
Children are entrusted to ‘Footprints’ care by various organisations, some short term, some long term and others permanently, until they are self sufficient. Each child has a unique background and story.
Some of the children’s direct families are also assisted by P.L.A.Y. Twice a week, a community food program is provided and families in the community who are in need, are taken care of. Many homeless people are fed on a regular basis, with food which is often donated by a company. In addition, various forms of counselling are made available to adults and children.
