Footprints

Footprints.... A multi cultural home for many children
“FOOTPRINTS” provides children of different ages and races with a place of safety that they can call HOME.  Our purpose is to allow them to experience the love, care and security of family life, whilst at the same time being educated and taught various life-skills.

Who are we?
“FOOTPRINTS” was birthed from the personal vision, passion and mentorship hearts of Terry and Yolanda Zafi to meet the needs of little ones that have been abandoned, orphaned and come from families in various crisis situations who can no longer provide for them.

Terry and Yolanda, primary caregivers have been partnering with the South African Department of Social Welfare and Development since 1997, with their focus being in the following areas:
Foster parenting; Place of safety and Counseling for Abused Children and Adults.

Terry and Yolanda have also been strategically aligned and are actively involved with numerous other community based organisations.

Yolanda, is one of only five qualified master trainers for The Professional Parenting Programme in South Africa, and has been mentoring and training ECD and Formal Education educators and trainers in various schools and Children’s centers throughout Southern Africa, including a center in Mozambique housing over  500 orphaned, HIV Aids and neglected  children.

Yolanda’s counselling and training workshops have also taken her to countries such as Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Thailand. She is a speaker and lecturer on HIV Aids and conceptualises new Community Development outreach projects. She is also used by corporate companies for motivational training and crisis counselling training.
